The Skyrim mod brings Shadow of Mordor’s brilliant Nemesis system to Tamriel

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor The best feature was the Nemesis system for sure, and an upcoming mod tries to add it Skyrim.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Nemesis system, here’s how it works: Enemies remember player actions, e.g. whether you have previously killed them or been killed by them, and allow them to move up and down the hierarchy. Get hit by a grunt often enough and it might work its way up the ladder and they’ll bully you for dying all the time too. And now modder Syclonix is trying to add a similar system to Skyrim (thanks PCGamesN).
Syclonix calls the mod in development Shadow of Skyrim: Nemesis and Alternative Death System, SOS-NADS for short, as described on Reddit. The post paints a pretty picture of how they envision the mod working narratively, telling the story of a player who was defeated by a swamp vampire named Breaks-Many-Shields.
Following this flavor text, Syclonic describes what the mod actually does. For one, it turns an enemy that defeats the player into a nemesis, giving them a unique name, better stats, and a special buff. Players can also receive a situational or random debuff when hit, e.g. B. when they can’t use the shield, and Nemesis can ever take your gear and use it.
Players are also given quests to go out and track down a nemesis so the whole rivalry thing can actually take place. It sounds like a very detailed mod, and Syclonix has shared some screenshots showing what the mod looks like. While it won’t be as complex as Shadow of Mordor’s, the lack of things like voice acting makes it appear to offer some very cool alternative play options.
Syclonix also notes that it will work with other mods, and it seems to work quite well with the Elden Ring-style messaging mod.
