I suffer from severe back problems and have had several surgeries but still suffer from constant pain.

I had to fill a bucket of water in the kitchen, bring it to the bathroom, and use it to flush a broken toilet.
We also filled the bucket with hot water for washing because the shower was broken.
The bedroom was damp and we couldn’t open the windows, which aggravated my daughter’s asthma.
All issues receive a personal response, usually within 24 hours on weekdays.
I am 53 years old and my daughter is 17 years old. I could barely walk let alone carry heavy buckets around, but when I complained to the council, nothing happened.
Our situation is coming to me and I feel so helpless that my daughter has to live like this.
DEIDRE SAYS: No wonder you sound depressed. It would be very painful to live in such conditions.
Your housing association must act urgently.
Contact a housing charity temporary residence.org.uk (0808 800 4444) should be able to help you.
