The snowman visits Chestnut Tree House children on Brighton i360
Patients at a children’s hospice met Raymond Briggs’ well-loved snowman aboard the Brighton i360.
On Tuesday, youth from Chestnut Tree House were invited to an event to celebrate the festive season.
The snowman greeted the children, who were also able to meet Santa Claus during their excursion in the seaside attraction.
Mandi Hirsch of Chestnut Tree House said: “We are very grateful to the Brighton i360 team for their support. Experiences like this are very special for our children and families and the day was truly magical.

“The sun was shining, the view was amazing and everyone loved meeting The Snowman.”
Chestnut Tree House has a close relationship with Sussex author Raymond Briggs, who was the charity’s patron from 2003 until his death earlier this year.
The charity added that his well-loved book resonates with the families who benefit from hospice because, like the story, “it’s not always the sad ending that’s remembered; it’s the happy times they have together, and that’s what Chestnut Tree House is all about.”
The chestnut tree house cares for children and young people with life-shortening illnesses in the Hospice Angmering.
