The start of the festive season as Christmas FM returns to the air

The festive season is in full swing with Christmas FM returning to Irish airlines today, November 28, at noon.
His much-loved station will again play Christmas tunes around the clock, spreading festive cheer and seasonal goodwill ahead of the big day.
Listeners can expect to hear all of their festival favorites, including classic Christmas songs and our newer hits, while radio hosts, Those who volunteer their time will bring many Christmas greetings.
Christmas FM will celebrate its 15th broadcast this year and has raised more than 3 million euros for a range of charities since it began broadcasting.
This year, the radio station launched a new fundraising initiative called ‘The Miracle of Christmas’ which brings together Barnardos, Barretstown, Make-A-Wish Ireland and The Community Foundation for Ireland with as their official charity partner for the next three years.
Christmas FM is aiming to raise more than 1 million euros over three years to help charities.
The cost of running Christmas FM is covered by many sponsors. This year the radio station is supported by sponsors Premier FM An Post, Cadbury and Coca Cola.
It is run annually by a core management team, supported by numerous volunteers who have donated their time, and it will also be broadcast from The Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley.
Along with broadcasting online and on FM from November 28, Christmas FM also has several sister stations available online globally, helping to spread the Christmas cheer around the world.

Garvan Rigby, co-founder of Christmas FM, said: “We are delighted that Christmas FM will turn on Christmas in its 15th year to spread Christmas cheer across Ireland throughout the festive season.”
