IMAGES have emerged showing Arnold Schwarzenegger after he flipped over his massive SUV in a collision with four other vehicles.

The former bodybuilder and governor of California was photographed at the scene in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon.

A spokesman for Schwarzenegger told the BBC that the actor was behind the wheel of his SUV at the time of the incident but was unharmed.

The four-vehicle collision happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. local time on Sunset Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed.

Schwarzenegger’s SUV is said to have run over another vehicle after colliding with a red Prius.

An eyewitness told the media it “looked like a stuntman in a movie”.

Ambulances are said to have taken the injured driver to hospital after she was seen “bleeding from her head”, TMZ reported.

An LAPD spokesman said: “There was a collision around 4.35 on Sunset Boulevard and Allenford.

“It was a traffic collision between four vehicles (and) the fire department and paramedics who transported a woman to a local hospital with head injuries.

“Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected as factors in this incident and all parties remain at the scene.”

Schwarzenegger was about a mile from his home at the time.

American actor, bodybuilder, businessman and producer Jake Steinfeld, 63, was also at the scene.

At this point, it remains unclear if Steinfeld was traveling with him in the car.

Steinfeld and Schwarzenegger are said to be close friends. He served as Chairman of the Board of Governors on Physical Fitness while Schwarzenegger was in office.
