Brits are now paying record prices for fuel – so it’s no wonder that many are switching to an electric vehicle for their next car.

And with electricity prices as low as 6.3p per mile on some models – who wouldn’t be tempted to drop the rising costs of their gas guzzlers?

These companies offer electric vehicles that will save the planet AND your wallet a world of damage.

For example, the Hyundai IONIQ Electric has the lowest cost per mile at 6.3p.

While the Fiat 500 (Hatch) is the cheapest and fastest electric vehicle to charge on the go.

But be warned – there is a big difference in the cost of charging some electric vehicles compared to others.

Audi’s e-tron and Tesla’s Model S and X take the longest to charge and are the most expensive.

And there’s a whopping £17.24 difference between charging an Audi e-tron and a Fiat 500 in services.

“Our research found the Hyundai IONIQ Electric to be the cheapest electric car to charge, costing 6.3p per mile, which is 0.5p cheaper than other electric cars on the market.

“So for those looking for a budget-friendly option for day-to-day running costs, this would be the best choice.”
