The story is cliche. A group of teenagers venture to a spooky mansion in the snowy mountains, only to find themselves trapped incommunicado.

Yet as you make the choices for them, you become interested in whether each of them lives or dies.

And yes, they can all die.

people are talented. If there’s something you’d like to play, chances are someone has already created it.

Out of the motorcycle scene Tron to a fully explorable castle Hogwarts: Dreams has it all and is worth exploring.

Gaming may be saturated with remasters, remakes, and reboots, but the God of War 2018 reboot really pushes the limits.

Away from the Greek mythology of the original trilogy, a new story begins; one in which Kratos has a son and he has landed in the realm of Norse mythology.

This is not a classic revenge story. Instead, it is the touching story of father and child.

Taking the series in first person and centering the evil around members of the Baker family let the fear factor in.

Running free and constantly taking down armies of garbage bag monsters will make you immune to danger.

But a redneck endlessly chasing you with a chainsaw will always be terrifying.

You’ll have to play through the story multiple times, discovering more of what you missed with each playthrough.

You can even choose to delete your save file to get a different ending.

While The Last of Us Part 2 was controversial among fans, it expands and improves everything from the original and brings with it new characters and story elements.

When you take multiple perspectives, you’re no longer fixated on Joel and Ellie’s story.

You now see how your actions affect the lives of other survivors.

It will make you question the line between good and evil.

Every now and then a game comes along that raises the bar for the medium, and in 2018 that game was Red Dead Redemption 2.

If you thought the world of The Witcher 3 was huge, then gird up your loins for the seemingly endless plains of America’s Wild West.

Protagonist Arthur Morgan is a more nuanced version of the cowboy hero, letting his human side shine through.

Persona 5 was almost 20 years in development, and it shows. Not in a bad way like Duke Nukem Forever – in a good way. A very good way.

The team looked at how video games improved, explored the best concepts, and stitched them together for a new version.

Gameplay aside, it only bears a passing resemblance to Persona 4.

Though it’s 100+ mouth-watering hours, it all seems somehow necessary.
