The truly amazing Final Symphony video game concert returns to the UK

final symphonywhich for our money is one of the best of the many video game concert programs is scheduled to return to the UK in 2023.

As a bonus, the show is also setting up somewhere outside of London. Final Symphony will perform in Birmingham, the UK’s second largest city, with the concert by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, which celebrated its 100th anniversary a few years ago.

For the uninitiated, Final Symphony takes a different approach than many video game music concerts. It’s a more traditional orchestral experience: no big screens, no light shows or fireworks – a more pure traditional classical music experience, but with video game music.

The concert series, helmed by production company Merregnon Studios, has held a series of concerts around the world based on a variety of video game franchises. However, as the name suggests, Final Symphony is one final fantasy Affair. Which makes sense considering we naturally crowned FF one of the best video game series for music.

The concert, performed in Birmingham, UK, is a program featuring music from Final Fantasy 6, 7 and 10. The symphony’s crowning piece is the Final Fantasy 7 Symphony, a 45-minute epic that covers nearly all the most iconic themes from the game in exciting new arrangements. This special concert program was first performed in Germany in 2013.

I’ve seen this concert before and it gives me goosebumps – and I honestly think it’s a cut above the other concerts, which do an excellent job of dividing the focus between the big screen spectacle and the music itself. While I love these events too, it’s a very different experience to Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy, which is back in London this October. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Final Symphony: Music from Final Fantasy will take place on April 16, 2023 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Tickets will go on sale later this month, May 25th. The truly amazing Final Symphony video game concert returns to the UK
