Back in January 2012, pioneer Jamal Edwards told his followers that creating something that would last after you died was the primary goal of life as the music industry faced his death.

A tweet posted by Jamal Edwards ten years ago underlined his determination to create a legacy to be proud of.
The music mogul, who was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his services to the industry, died on sunday morning after a short illness.
The pioneer was Loose Women’s presenter’s son Brenda Edwards, who said she was “absolutely devastated” when the floods hit.
Now, a tweet made by Jamal in January 2012 expresses his desire to one day leave behind something that could make a big difference.
Post unearthed from a decade ago pointed out how important it is to have something to represent in your life.
He wrote ten years ago: “We all die. The goal is not to live forever. The goal is to create something as we wish.”
Emotional Justin Clarke, aka Grime MC Ghetts, retweeted the post and wrote, “Brother done on mission – fly high.”
Jamal was only 15 years old when he launched the youth film production and broadcasting channel SB.TV.
He started the channel on a £20 phone while still in school in 2006 before his mother’s Christmas gift of a £200 camera really set things up.
Jamal attended the Brit Awards earlier this month and is known to have DJed in north London on Saturday night.
Hundreds of celebrities have sent their condolences.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have honored his work as ambassadors for The Prince’s Trust.
They said they were thinking about his family, saying: “An incredible innovator and entrepreneur, Jamal Edwards MBE has been an inspiration to so many young people, through our work and more than that.”
Jamal also suggests getting in early contact with the likes of Skepta, JME, J Hus, Lady Leshurr, Dave, AJ Tracey and Krept & Konan.
Mo Gilligan, Adam Deacon, Chelsea FC and Official MOBO Twitter the account was among those who honored him.
Funnyman Mo posted on twitter: “A truly humble and blessed soul. Your legacy will last for many years and you have inspired an entire generation. Rest in peace Jamal Edwards.”

The official YouTube account also sent condolences.
They said: “We have lost a legend today. Jamal Edwards is an inspiration to so many, supporting artists and shaping culture through @SBTVonline. My condolences to Jamal’s family and community. ”
Heartbroken mother Brenda released a statement, released on the official Twitter account of ITV Loose women.
With the deepest pain I can confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning from a serious illness.
“Myself, his sister Tanisha, and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He is the center of our world.
“When it came to his passing, we asked for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I want to thank everyone for their messages of love and support. Jamal is an inspiration to me and so many people.
“Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PhD.”
