The University of Brighton Falmer campus has been closed due to a gas leak

A university campus is closed because of “suspicion of a gas leak”.

The leak was reported around 9am at the University of Brighton’s Falmer campus.

The campus will remain closed while the leak is investigated.

A University of Brighton spokesman said: “There will be no access to the Falmer campus today while the Gas Board investigates a suspected gas leak.

“Staff and students have been notified and we will provide further updates as we know more.

“We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Brighton and Hove Buses route 25 was affected but is now back on its normal route.
