Max George and Stacey Giggs have rekindled their romance less than a month after it was announced they had split – and days after the tragic death of The Wanted’s Tom Parker.
It was reported that the 33-year-old singer first started dating 39-year-old Stacey in 2018 – the shaved hunk – who moved in with the ex-WAG and their two children in Manchester.
But reports surfaced last month revealing the couple had taken time out on their four-year powerful romance — well over a year after he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing.
Now the duo are said to have reunited after realizing they had made a hasty decision to give up their love after a difficult period and now feel stronger than ever after being apart for three weeks.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Max and Stacey were having a really rough patch and in the heat of the moment they called it a day. It was a very upsetting time for both of them.
“But now things have calmed down, they both felt like they wanted to fix things.
“They are back together and working on their issues.”
Stacey was previously married to footballer Ryan Giggs in 2007 but they split in 2017 amid allegations that he was having an affair.
The now ex-husband and his wife share two children – Libby, 19, and son Zach, 15 – who Max took under his wing after he moved in with Stacey.
Max himself was engaged to actress Michelle Keegan in 2011, but they split in 2012.
The happy news of Max and Stacey’s reconciliation comes a week and a half after the devastating death of The Wanted star Tom – who lost a brave battle to brain cancer on March 30.
The father of two was just 33 years old and is survived by his wife Kelsey Hardwick, daughter Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, one year old.
In a heartbreaking tribute to his friend shared last week, Max wrote via Instagram, “Tom, my brother, my boy, my bandmate, my best mate… You’ve lit up so many lives around the world but I have can only speak on my behalf. From the moment I met you I knew this was going to be a special chapter in my life. I was right.”
He later elaborates on their time together on stage and how he was with him when he met his future wife Kelsey.
He added: “We’ve done everything together, some amazing things, some outrageous things. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished as bandmates and as brothers. I’m also proud that I was there the night you met Kels, you, “You like her don’t you?” to which you replied, “Bro, like you can’t believe it.” You two are really like Peas and carrots.
During the tribute, he praised his pal for his bravery, likening him to a rampant “lion” for his fight and bravery shown through his cancer treatment.
He continued, “Thank you for choosing me as your friend. It was an honor from day one. I am so thankful that I was with you to the end. The courage and dignity I have experienced over the past few months has surpassed the lion I already knew it was you.
“The huge hole that is being left in my life now will be there forever, but I know your spirit will live on through your two beautiful babies, your wonderful wife, our music, your fans and in my heart.
“I’m incredibly heartbroken right now and can’t even begin to imagine what the future holds without you, but whatever I do going forward, even on my darkest days, I can always smile and say, ‘I’ve got the stage with Tom shared Parker’.
“I will miss you so much. i love you buddy Always. George.”
