The Weeknd made a very happy boy during the opening of the superstar’s rescheduled After Hours Til Dawn tour in Philadelphia on Thursday (July 14).
Megafan Phoenix Prince, 6, went viral on social media last week after he was photographed crying outside the Toronto venue, where The Weeknd is scheduled to kick off the much-anticipated stadium walk from your long. The July 8 performance at the Rogers Center was canceled at the last minute because of a nationwide network issue, prompting many fans to share their disappointment online.
Immediately after the cancellation, The Weeknd retweeted a snapshot of the devastated Prince – who even wears a red coat and black tie, like his idol – is being comforted by his father outside the facility. “Can someone please find him for me?” The singer captioned his tweet.

The Weeknd attempted to contact the boy’s family and brought Prince to his Philly concert at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, Billboards confirm. The child’s father, Blake Prince, gave Instagram after the show to share a sweet behind-the-scenes photo of his “Starboy” being hugged by The Weeknd.
“I wouldn’t have been able to put this into words last week if I tried,” the father wrote alongside the adorable photo. “We are forever grateful for this moment. We are so grateful to Abel and his beautiful crew for their friendship, hospitality, generosity and spending the day with Phoenix and me. He will treasure this experience forever. Thank you a million times over. xo. “
The After Hours Til Dawn tour continues at New York’s MetLife Stadium on Saturday.
