“Frozen windshields are soon to be a thing with all the cold and snow.”
While a caption on the video reads, “If you have a teenage driver, send that to him!”
The video explains how the driver should start by blowing the hot air on the window, but make sure the visors are down.
Sarah Detuch said in the TikTok video: “Well I do this video every year.
“If you have a frosted windshield, make sure you fold down your visors to stop airflow and defrost your windshield faster.
“If you ever have a layer of ice on your car or if it’s icy, lower the sun visor.
“Otherwise you can feel the air coming right over it.
“When you flip the sun visor down, it forms a blockage so it actually defrosts faster.”
The video has gone viral on TikTok with more than 3.5 million views and most users have praised them for this hack.
One user said: “Thanks, just learn this at 29.”
Another said: “Omg I need this.”
A third pointed out, “Thanks for this lifehack.”
However, other users think there are better hacks to defrost your screen.
One said: “Nah, just pour hot water on it.”
Another said: “Get an empty plastic bag filled with warm water and rub it on your windscreen in seconds.
