GARDAI has launched an investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in a house.
The woman’s remains were found at Kilmacrennan in Co Donegal around 20:20 last night.
They were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, where a full autopsy will be conducted today.
Those autopsy findings will determine the course of Garda investigation.
Gardai is investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
A spokesman said: “Gardai was alerted to the incident at around 8.20pm.
“The woman’s body has been taken to the morgue at Letterkenny University Hospital, where an autopsy will be performed.
“A profile will now be prepared for Coroner.”

Separately, the gardai in Dublin is investigating after a homeless man was found dead in the capital last night.
Discovery made along Henry Place in Dublin downtown is located near Moore St.
Emergency services were on the scene a short time later and gardai is now investigating the circumstances behind the man’s death and how long he may have been there.
His remains have been moved to Dublin City Mortuary and an autopsy will be conducted soon.
ONE Garda A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course, which will determine the course of the investigation, a spokesperson said.
“A file will be prepared for the Inquisitor. Investigations are underway.”
