He wrote in a heartbreaking post that he lost “the love of his life” on what should have been the happiest day of their lives.

Tom stated that his fiancée was the “best thing that ever happened” to him and that he will continue to wear his engagement ring as a “sign of his [his] unconditional love” for her.

He will raise their son like a single father and hopes he will make her proud.

The singer wrote: “I can’t believe I’m writing this but my dear Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away at dawn on Saturday, June 18.

“The day that was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in an irreparable heartbreak.

“I feel as if I’ve cried an ocean. We’ve never come to change; or have to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that You are my whole world and the best thing that ever happened to me, Danielle.

“I will wear this ring that I always have to wear as a sign of my unconditional love for you.”

On raising their son, he continued, “I’m absolutely devastated trying to process this and honestly I don’t know where to go from here, but I know I need to take whatever I can. Any energy possible to focus on our boy.

“I won’t make my mark on the parent you’ve become, but I promise I’ll do everything I can to raise Bowie the way we’ve always wanted to. I promise you he will. know how amazing my mummy is.I promise to make you proud.

“The most beautiful person inside and out. The most extraordinary soul. We have lost such a special person and I am sure we are about to witness an abundant outpouring of love that reflects that. I will try to find peace in your messages and comments, but I am grieving right now and I will be for a long time.

“My dear Dani, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. I will miss you forever.”
