The Xbox Series is the best-selling platform in Q1 2022 by Dollars Made

Microsoft’s Xbox Series hardware was the top-selling platform of first quarter (Q1) 2022 per dollar earned. The latest analysis from the NPD Group found that the combined front of the Xbox Series X and S not only topped sales for March but for all of Q1, despite the fact that the PlayStation 5 led the way earlier in the year.

While the Xbox series brought in the most money, Nintendo’s Switch ranked first in terms of units sold for both March and Q1.

Elden Ring remained at the top of software sales in March, growing a double-digit percentage compared to February’s introductory month. It’s still the best-selling game of the year and is now the second best-selling game of the past 12 months, falling only on Call of Duty: Vanguard.
