McNeill made his film debut at the age of 22 in the film A Man Called Masters Of The Universe, in which he played teenage high school student Kevin Corrigan.

In the film, his character and his girlfriend, played by Courteney Cox, who starred in Friends, discover a device that is actually the “key to the universe”.

It was distracted by He-Man and friends after they used it to open a portal to Earth while fleeing the Sorceress of Grayskull.

Kevin, thinking it was a music synthesizer, begins to press buttons, inadvertently sending a signal to the Skeletor’s second-in-command, Evil-Lyn, who prepares a small squad of mercenaries to restore it. .

The film opens with He-Man finally coming to the rescue.

The film version was panned by critics and it was a resounding success at the box office.

But it is now treasured by some as a cult classic.

25 years on and McNeill looks almost unrecognizable.

It’s perhaps no surprise that he’s no longer the dashing 22-year-old guy he used to be, he’s now a 57-year-old father of three.

However, McNeill continued to pursue an acting career.

His sci-fi role in Masters Of The Universe prepared him to take on the role of head directing Tom Paris on Star Trek: Voyager.

After that, he started a new and successful career as a director.

He has directed the television series Chuck, Resident Alien, The Gifted, and the Disney television version of Turner & Hooch, among others.
