There is a Marvel’s Avengers bug and the only solution at the moment is to delete your progress

It looks like Marvel’s Avengers has a game-changing bug on PS5… and the only way to fix it right now is to wipe your entire campaign progress.

According to player reports, the bug causes the game to crash every time you load it, with many players claiming that the game is currently unplayable. The only solution currently is to apparently completely reset the campaign progress:

“Our team is continuing to investigate the issue that was causing some PS5 players to crash,” the developers announced via Twitter. “We believe we have identified a fix that is currently being implemented/tested. We hope to have more news by tomorrow morning and will continue to update you.”

“Meanwhile, here’s a workaround that fixes the issue for some players – just note that this will reset your campaign progress: Go to Operations and reset your Reassemble campaign progress. Once you become young Kamala on A-Day, force close the game on the PS home screen and you should be able to launch the Avengers Initiative.”

This groundbreaking bug comes at the worst possible time – during a week of double XP and resources. Although the event should allow players to double their rewards between March 24th and March 31st, it looks like PS5 players missed out on a big chunk of it.

Many are calling for the event to be extended.

This isn’t the first controversy surrounding the game either. Last year, fans were in a frenzy when Marvel’s Avengers added paid XP boosts after moving to Game Pass. Just a few weeks later, Crystal Dynamics removed the boosts from the in-game marketplace and apologized to players.
