Thiago Silva shines, Kepa impresses without Mendy but Romelu Lukaku fails to draw at Brighton

CHELSEA dropped more points once again as they drew 1-1 away from Brighton to end their Premier League title hopes.
The The Blues never controlled the game – Although Hakim Ziyech opened the scoring in the 28th minute.
Graham Potter’s scored a well-deserved equalizer in injury time after Adam Webster headed home from a corner.
And Chelsea took points at the Amex Stadium in another disappointing night for record signing Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea have now won just once in the Premier League from their last seven matches.

Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7
He always needs to be on guard as Brighton often looks dangerous.
He played well with his feet contributing to Chelsea’s play and made a couple of brilliant saves.
Cesar Azpilicueta – 4
So limited at full-back and couldn’t really make any impact on Chelsea’s attacks when on the ball. He is also struggling at the back.
Thiago Silva – 8
Chelsea’s best player on the pitch is often like that, although his teammates don’t cause too much competition.
Controlling the ball with class, Chelsea played attack from behind and defended firmly.
Antonio Rudiger – 5
One of the few who had a better Chelsea performance from the game but even he struggled at the back when trying to defend against a team that was completely determined and hit the target repeatedly.
Marcos Alonso – 4
Always struggled under pressure and never really exceeded the average, and tonight was no different.
He would always be run around by Lamptey, who did.
N’Golo Kante – 4
Much like Jorginho, his passing is poor and that keeps Brighton in control a lot of the game.
He lost in individual teamfights and kept sending the ball away, very unlike him but didn’t care about it at all.
Jorginho – 4
He lost the fitness match in midfield throughout the first half and some of his passes were also off, which is unlike him.
His second half did not improve at all and he was regularly overlooked by Brighton.
Hakim Ziyech – 5
He was very tired for the first 20 minutes until he scored and then he got a little bit better.
But since then, he’s faded and is defeated too easily.
Mason Mount – 4
He’s pretty quiet and he looks a bit lost in his pocket, but that’s largely due to Chelsea’s poor possession and lack of progress and imagination.
Callum Hudso-Odoi – 4
He was one of our livelier players in the first half but lousy in the second and wasted chances and failed to try to reach his man again.
Romelu Lukaku – 4
Frustrated he wasn’t given the passes he made again and it doesn’t look like he wants to play with much effort again.
