This Morning: Shaun Wallace previews new documentary
This Morning fans were left stunned on Tuesday morning when The Chase’s Shaun Wallace appeared with Anne Hegerty to chat about their show DNA Journey on ITV.
The Chasers are one of seven celebrity duos appearing on the show to uncover their ancestral histories and unearth secrets from their past in a documentary series this spring.
Shadow Terminator and Ruler, whom ITV audiences will recognize from the popular game show, saw the world differently from their usual rock-hard faces when confronted by Bradley Walsh and a group of four strangers.
Viewers of This Morning were particularly surprised by Shaun’s appearance on the sofa without dark-rimmed glasses and a casual pair of trousers and a sport T-shirt with sleeves, while he usually wears a tailored suit .
On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Shaun looks a bit goofy in that t-shirt,” while another posted: “To be fair, Sean looks good too.”

Another social media user wrote “Shaun Wallace invited everyone to the gun show”, as another posted: “Yes, do your thing, Shaun!”
The lawyer shared details about the show earlier this year, when he confirmed he would appear alongside The Governess on the show.
As Anne and Shaun go on an unforgettable excursion on the ITV show, the new series of Journey DNA will also feature the earth journey stories of Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Maureen Lipman and Rula Lenska.

ITV bosses said of the show: “Depending into their family history, the popular TV duo will use cutting-edge DNA technology and genealogy to uncover the truth behind their bloodline, as well as confronting living relatives they never knew existed. .
“The first episode Anne Hegerty and Shaun Wallace faced a different kind of challenge than they were used to – seeking knowledge rather than imparting it. They are embarking on a trip across the UK to Jamaica to uncover their family history using DNA and genealogy.
“A formidable opponent on The Chase, it appears Anne comes from an impressive line of ancestry – one who survived two torpedo attacks and escaped the sinking by clinging to an upside down lifeboat.

“What Shaun has no say in is that Anne has more than eye contact when he finds out that he may need to start restraining her.
“His own journey is equally impressive when – contrary to all expectations – he manages to trace his family back eight generations back to the early 1700s and find the ancestors that have accumulated in the past. amassed a small fortune in Cuba. Initially, he also had to deal with an uncomfortable past but it turned out not to be quite what he first appeared.”
In the second season of the series, which airs later this year, the show will follow the journeys of ancestors Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb, Joel Dommett and Tom Allen, along with Alison Hammond and Kate Garraway.
