Josie Gibson clashed with This Morning star over new ITV job

Josie Gibson has revealed that she will be advancing from This Morning to join another ITV show that will see her accompanied by a host of fellow celebs competing in a cooking competition.

The 37-year-old star first rose to fame in 2010 when she was a contestant and then the winner of the 11th season of the reality television series Big Brother.

She has worked as a presenter in the years since her win and is currently suspenseful to daytime TV audiences as the co-host of This Morning alongside Vernon Kay, 47, while the other Regular hosts Holly Willoughby, 41, and Phillip Schofield, 60, take a break for Easter.

On Tuesday’s show, Vernon gave Josie the spotlight as they hosted the show together as he encouraged her to tell viewers about her new TV show gig.

Vernon announced: “We have some exclusive news, Josie is about to star in a big ITV show.

“Dump the beans! Oh no, don’t do that, but tell us what it is because beans are involved!”

Josie then excitedly revealed: “Well, I signed up for Cooking With The Stars and I can’t tell you how hard it is!

“I didn’t realize how bad my memory was!”

Josie will join other celebrity contestants, including Anton Du Beke of Serious Prom, Love Island star Maura Higgins, and After Life actor Joe Wilkinson.

Others in attendance include Olympic icon Dame Kelly Holmes, The Chase star Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegert, TV doctor Ranj Singh and celebrity offspring Woody Cook – son of Zoe Ball and Norman ‘Fatboy Slim’ Cook.

Josie herself will be supported on the show by teaming up with Scottish chef and restaurateur Tony Singh as they compete for the crown.

Cooking With The Stars proved to be a hit on the series a year ago when chaos was unleashed in the kitchen as several stars battled for the title.

McFly star Harry Judd accidentally added some human flesh and blood to one of his dishes when he cut off the tip of his finger while cooking.

Presenter Emma Willis revealed at the time: “The first chop he did, he cut off the tip of his finger. We wrapped him in bandages and doubled his gloves because he was like, ‘I really want to keep going.’

“I was like” was all your hands, right? And he went, yes, I was a little sweaty there I was wearing double gloves for an hour.

“He looked in and pulled it back a little bit. I was like, it’s not sweat, man, it’s blood. One of the cooks said like ‘you need a doctor right away.’

Meanwhile, co-host Tom Allen said of the upcoming second episode: “This past series was so much fun!

“Emma Willis and I are getting ready to polish the frying pan – we’re happy to work together.

“Celebrities are being trained by some of the best chefs in the business and the ticking clock is always ticking to see if they improve their cooking enough each week to meet the high standards of the industry. jury or not.”
