Ben Ofoedu surprises Vanessa Feltz with a song

Vanessa Feltz broke down in tears on This Morning today as her fiance went live with the broadcast to help her celebrate her 60th birthday.

Ben Ofoedu, 49, shocked Vanessa when he called ITV performed as a ‘fan’ wanting to wish her happy birthday – before emerging from the wing of the studio.

As he held a large bouquet of flowers and a mic, Ben sang to Vanessa like Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were shocked by his voice.

Vanessa tears up and Ben hands her a bouquet of flowers before leaning down to kiss her forehead.

Holly exclaimed: “That’s your handsome stranger!”

“Oh my god,” Vanessa spat out. “Great.”

“Happy birthday honey,” Ben told her. “Go out tonight and then I’ll take you to Hatton Gardens to buy some nice trinkets.”

Vanessa looked taken aback as Phil said, “It’s done! Have a nice day both of you.”

“Thanks a lot,” Vanessa said, while Phil asked Ben what his birthday was.

“Mine is in June, so it’s going to be a big one,” Ben replied.

Holly wished her a happy birthday again when Vanessa exclaimed, “Thank you so much! Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it! When I heard that person on the phone, I said, “Oh my, they’re not real! arrival, right? They sound so weird! ‘”

Phil is also celebrating his 40th anniversary today, with Lorraine Kelly giving him a full hour.

His wife Stephanie Lowe and daughter Molly appeared via video link to pay tribute to all of his achievements over the years.

When asked what the key to Phil’s success was, she said: “I have no clue! I think your previous guests hit the nail. He really cares about people and the news. He is very happy!”

“I’ve always been proud of him,” Molly replied as she recalled standing in line for his autograph.

Lorraine asked, “What do girls mean to you?”

“Everything! I mean, we’ve obviously had changes in our lives,” answered Phil. “But like I said, we’ve always been four, but it’s a little different. Steph has been the most incredible foundation and support and the most solid foundation throughout my career.

“Girls, I couldn’t be prouder. So yeah, we’re a family.”
