This stunning 5 hour close-up video of the sun is like nothing you’ve ever seen

A SKYGAZER has revealed incredible close-up images of the sun in stunning detail.

The flaming sphere was filmed by a special solar telescope for an amazing five hours.

They can even emit gases.

photographer Andrew McCarthy shared the dazzling video on social media.

The space lover joked that “there’s a party on the sun, but you’re not invited.”

But he warned others not to look at the sun themselves with a telescope.

“DO NOT attempt this unless you know what you are doing,” he tweeted.

“You will go blind or start a fire if you point a telescope at the sun.”

The video has been sped up from 1800x to 3600x to show how things are moving.

It even zooms in further to give an idea of ​​how big it is compared to Earth – needless to say, our planet is quite small in comparison.

People on social media were understandably stunned by the video.
