Thor Bjornsson suffered a black eye the morning after his victory over rival Eddie Hall.
Bjornsson dropped his former strong rival twice on Saturday night en route to a comfortable points win in Dubai.
But the Icelander didn’t come out of the Six Round War unscathed like powerlifter and bodybuilder Larry Wheels might have been.
Bjornsson came under pressure early in the fight when Hall started well and the referee was forced to count the bigger man after the ropes held him up.
Hall thought he had dropped his rival again, but this time the official decided the fall was a slip.
Bjornsson then took control of the fight, dropping Hall in the third and sixth sessions before each of the three judges scored the fight 57-54 in their favor.
“It feels incredible,” said the winner. “I worked my ass off for two years. I had such a good team around me that supported me all the way.
“In my name [the rivalry is over], understandably he still seemed angry, he lost the fight. There are a lot of feelings right now.
“If he wants a rematch, I’ll take one with no problem. I want to thank Eddie Hall and his team.
“He put up a hell of a fight. I’ve never been dropped in practice so he can hit really hard. But today I think boxing technique won.
“I’m really enjoying this journey and if there are other options, at least I’m open to them.”

Hall didn’t congratulate Bjornsson when he made his first comments about the fight on social media.
The Englishman had cuts around both eyes and is likely to be badly marked from the bad fall.
“You know what, I can take things as a man,” Hall said in a video posted to Instagram. “It is what it is, that’s boxing. At the end of the day, I just fought the tallest man in the world in a boxing match. I would love to see someone else get the balls and do that.
“It’s been one hell of a journey; i enjoyed it and hopefully there will be a rematch and we can do business again.
“I want to wish everyone out there to stay safe, stay positive and keep moving forward in life. The most important thing is family, this beautiful baby [Hall’s wife] is my rock and no matter what happens, I can go home to her and the children.”
