Three arrested on suspicion of murder after fatally stabbing a man in Barnet

The Metropolitan Police have arrested two men, aged 33 and 25, and a woman, aged 24, on suspicion of murder following the death of a 30-year-old in Barnet on Wednesday

Three people have been arrested after a man was stabbed to death at a house in north-west London.

Two men, aged 33 and 25, and a woman, aged 24, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday May 14.

The men remain in custody while the woman was released on bail in mid-June.

Police were called by paramedics just before 3am on Wednesday May 11 following reports of an injured man inside an apartment.

Officers responded with paramedics and found a 30-year-old man with stab wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Investigators battled inclement weather later Wednesday morning to search the crime scene for leads.

They were seen searching the front yards and hedges of properties near the crime scene, which was cordoned off for several hours.

Forensic investigators set up tents in the front yards of several houses in Barnet.

Officials are in contact with the dead man’s family and are supporting them.

A 35-year-old man was initially arrested after being taken to hospital but was later released with no further action taken against him.

Officers continue to urge anyone with information about the murder to come forward by calling 101 with the reference 655/11MAY or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

On Wednesday, a spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.39am this morning (11 May) with reports of a stabbing in the High Road, Barnet.

“We dispatched two ambulance crews, two paramedics in rapid response vehicles, an advanced paramedic and a dispatcher to the scene.

“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consisted of a doctor and a paramedic in a car.

“We treated two people on site, where unfortunately one patient died. We brought the second patient to the hospital.”
