The top three cars in the World Car of the Year series have just been announced.
The overall winner is expected to be announced at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. The three finalists for each category are:
World Car of the Year
Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6.
Electric car of the year in the world
Audi e-tron GT, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
World urban car
Opel Mokka, Toyota Yaris Cross and Volkswagen Taigun.
Lu’s Worldcar
BMW iX, Genesis GV70 and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
World Performance Car
Audi e-tron GT, BMW M3/M4 and Toyota GR86/Subaru BRZ.
Car Design of the Year in the World
Audi e-tron GT, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
