Gardaí have arrested three men (aged 20) after a raid on a property in Dublin city center during which drugs and a number of motorized vehicles were seized.
At around 3.30pm this afternoon, Gardaí, who belong to the Community Policing Unit at Store Street Garda Station, carried out a search of a property in Dublin 1 with the assistance of the Dublin North Central Metropolitan Area Drugs Unit.
Gardaí said the search was carried out as part of a planned operation “targeting the sale and supply of drugs” and anti-social behavior in the Dublin 1 area.
“During the search, Gardaí seized herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €652,000, resin with an estimated value of €25,000 and cocaine with an estimated value of €4,000,” said a Gardaí spokesman.
“The estimated total value of the drugs seized is 681,000 euros. The drugs are now sent for analysis.
“Gardaí also seized 12 Scrambler motorcycles, three electric scooters and two speedboats during the search operation.”
Three men, aged around 20, were arrested at the scene and taken to Store Street Garda Station, where they are currently being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Gardaí said the search was part of Operation Tara, the broader national anti-drug strategy, and that investigations were ongoing.
