Tia Mowry opens up about how her children contributed to her divorce

Tia Mowry recently opened up about her divorce from fellow actor Cory Hardrict and how her children partially influenced that decision.
While an interview In a HelloBeautiful cover story published on Wednesday, Mowry said she wanted her children with Hardrict – Cree, 12, and Cairo, 5 – to see her “walk in the truth.”
“Part of my decision was for her too,” she said of the divorce. “For seeing their mother walking in the truth. I think it’s a great lesson for her because it wasn’t an easy decision.”
“It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my life,” she added. “But when they see that mum can do it, that mum no matter what people say no matter even if there’s any doubt whatever, mum pushed through. [They can say] My mom is alive and chasing after her truth. I want my kids to do that. This is the best gift I can give them.”
Mowry announced her split from Hardrict on Instagram in October after 14 years of marriage over 20 years as a couple. She said at the time that they planned to maintain a friendship and raise their children together. Their divorce was finalized in April, accordingly People.

Mowry has spoken out about the end of their marriage several times since announcing their split.
That’s what the “Family Reunion” actor said Today hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager reported in November that she had an “aha moment” when she realized she felt a “sadness” in the relationship.
She said she realized “life is short” after mourning the deaths of her grandmother and Alaina Housley. Housley was the niece of her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, who was killed in a mass shooting at a California bar in 2018.
“It woke me up,” Mowry said while revisiting those deaths in Wednesday’s interview with HelloBeautiful.
“I was like, ‘Tia, are you happy?’ And I said I really need to find my peace and happiness. So I went to therapy,” she said.
Mowry celebrated Cree’s 12th birthday On Wednesday, she wrote on Instagram that she was “endlessly proud of him”.
