Tia Mowry shares a tip she would give to women in bad relationships

Tia Mowry recently shared some encouraging words for other women who are ready to start a new chapter in their lives.
While an appearance On YouTube’s “Chris GQ Perry” last week, the “Family Reunion” actress was asked to share advice she would give to a woman struggling to leave a relationship that isn’t working out.
“I think what I would tell her is that the No. 1 focus is self-love,” Mowry replied. “That is, really look deep within yourself and really get to know yourself, understand yourself. And a lot of that happens in a kind of isolation.”

Women sometimes have a hard time leaving toxic relationships because “they don’t love themselves,” she later added.
“You love that person more than you love yourself,” she said. “When you love—really, truly love yourself—then you begin to understand your self-worth, your self-worth, and what you deserve.”
Mowry has spoken openly about the dissolution of her marriage to her ex-husband, fellow actor Cory Hardrict. After 14 years of marriage and over 20 years as a couple, she announced her separation from Hardrict on Instagram in October 2022. They have two children together: a son, Cree, 12, and a daughter, Cairo, 5. Their divorce was finalized in April. according to People.
The actor HelloBeautiful said in June that her children had inspired her decision to divorce in part because she wanted her children to “see their mother walk in the truth.”
“I think it’s a great lesson for her because it wasn’t an easy decision,” she said at the time.
In August, Mowry opened up about her experience entering the dating world post-divorce, saying in an Instagram post that she remains “nervous and scared” to this day.
“Even when I’m in mine [40s]”I feel so inexperienced!” she wrote. “And although it would be easy to just throw in the towel and avoid the possibility of embarrassment and injury, I know God has me!”
She added, “So if you’re afraid of new experiences, know that you have it all and we’re in this together!”
