Pokemon Go Fest 2022 – Day One

On the first day, June 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, all Trainers will enjoy the following features, regardless of whether they have an event ticket. These features include four rotating habitat hours, where a different Pokémon spawns every hour and themed confetti appears around the map.

For the first time in Pokemon Go, you can encounter Shiny Shroomish, Shiny Numel, Shiny Karrablast, Shiny Axew, and Shiny Shelmet. Personally, we really want a Shiny Axew. Hell, we only want one in general. It never seems to hatch for us.

For ticket holders, on June 4th, Trainers will be tasked with conducting special research related to the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin. With research, you’ll encounter Land Forme Shaymin and earn rewards like an event-exclusive avatar item and a special avatar pose. If you snap up to five snaps during Saturday’s event times, you might be in for a surprise.

You are also faced with a decision when it comes to special research: You choose between the levels of difficulty Relaxed, Standard and Master. The difficulty level you choose affects which decal you get as a reward, but doesn’t otherwise change your Special Research rewards.

Another choice is to choose between Catch, Explore or Battle when it comes to how you want to play. Special research tasks change according to your choice.

In addition to the Pokémon introduced during each Habitat Hour, the following Pokémon will be attracted to Incense if you have an Event Ticket – and some will be Shiny:

Also, the Global Challenge Arena is back. If you have a ticket, work with other trainers to complete a shared challenge each hour. If you succeed, you will get a bonus for the rest of the hour.

And finally, on day one, during event times, you’ll have an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon in the wild if you use Incense. Your chances are better on Saturday than on Sunday.

Pokemon Go Fest 2022 – Day Two

On Sunday, June 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, everyone can enjoy the Global Challenge Arena, claim a specific Pokemon making its debut in five-star Raids, claim a short Special Research story, and each Pokemon, that will be presented on Saturday will appear again on Sunday during event times.

Once again, costumed Pikachu and Axew will appear in One Star Raids, and both have a chance to be Shiny.

Ticket holders can participate in an additional Special Research Story after completing the Short Special Research Story available to all Trainers. Once you’re done, you’ll be rewarded and make contact with a special Pokemon. If you snap up to five snaps during Sunday’s event times, you might be in for a surprise.
