Tiger King star Joe Exotic marries third husband after meeting him in prison

Netflix star Joe Exotic meets future husband John Graham in February 2021 while they are locked up at FMC Forth Worth in Texas

Tiger King star Joe Exotic is planning his third wedding – to a former inmate.

The former owner of the colorful zoo filed for divorce from her husband Dillon Passage so he could marry John Graham.

According to his attorney, Netflix, Exotic star Autumn Blackledge met the tattooed Graham in February 2021 while they were locked up at FMC Forth Worth in Texas.

Although John was released, the couple still loved each other.

Exotic – whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage – said of their union: “God works in amazing ways.”

According to court documents, Graham was jailed for burglary and possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to more than 12 years in 2012, although prison records show he was released early – on March 15 of this year.

Exotic, 58, married Dillon in December 2017. Just two months after the death of her previous husband Travis Maldonado, who accidentally shot and killed her.

Eccentric Exotic operates an animal sanctuary in Oklahoma.

He rose to prominence in 2020 when he appeared in the Netflix series Tiger King, a series that charts the rivalry between owners of exotic zoos – hence his adoption.

He is currently serving a 20-year sentence for murder for hire against animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who owns an animal sanctuary in Florida. The couple had a decades-long argument.

Exotic allegedly instructed an undercover government agent to “catch her and drive away” during a meeting in 2017.
