TikTok star Ava Majury uncovers the dark side of popularity

“It’s all your fault,” he said.

“The subject is most likely a stalker due to her daughter’s extensive social media engagement,” the Collier County Sheriff’s Office report read, citing Majury. “Since her daughter joined the social network, many subjects have tried to locate her family in the past.” Majury provided them with Justin’s contact information, the report said.

Collier hạt County Sheriff’s Office told local media at the time that a man was shot dead by residents of a home on the Raffia Reserve after opening fire on the home during an attempted robbery. The office did not name the gunman.

Majurys said police told them Mr. Justin was carrying two cell phones containing thousands of photos of Ava and hundreds of hours of videos of her.

Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk and investigators from his office did not respond to requests for interviews. “This remains an active investigation and there are no updates available,” Karie Partington, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, said in an email.

The gunman’s identity was confirmed by his father, Justin Dominic. Mr. Dominic, a software engineer who is divorced from his mother Justin, said that before the divorce, the family lived in the US and then moved to Dominic’s hometown, India. When his parents split, Justin chose to move back to the US with his mother, his father said, recalling their move around 2015.

Mr. Dominic, who said he spoke with investigators, recalled his son was a good student, doing well in math at Mount Hebron High School in Ellicott City. “He was a kind kid. I am speechless,” he said in an interview. “I don’t know what happened to him. He made a bad choice.”

After the shooting, Majurys reeled, moving in with friends. A few days later, Majury received an invitation from Ava’s rep to visit Los Angeles, meet other influencers and attend a few red carpet events. One is for “Glo-Up Girls”, the line of pre-made make-up dolls advertised on Youtube Channel features six underage influencers who “live in a mansion and do sensational Glo-Up challenges”.
