Tipping Point contestant reveals secret past on TV

Tipping Point host Ben Shephard couldn’t believe it, when a contestant made a mistake on the ITV show Tuesday afternoon.

Sub-TV Denise soon afterwards confessed that she had appeared in several UK soaps, after receiving a false question about Hollyoaks.

Denise was asked: “Is The Dog in the Pond a fictional pub in the British soap opera?”

She doesn’t know the answer, though, and goes with Emmerdale, only to be told by Ben that it’s essentially Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.

Later on in the show, Ben decided to ask about Denise’s soap stains, and he was surprised by her confession.

Asked what she was for, when he found out she was acting on TV, Ben said, “You’re the extra Denise on television, is there anything that I could have seen you in?”

She then reveals that she has been in Coronation Street in the past, leaving Ben a lot of impressions.

He said, “Oh yeah? That’s great… you’ve never done Hollyoaks? You don’t know the pub in Hollyoaks.”

Later, Denise was forced to confess that she had been to the Hollyoaks set, and had filmed as a spin-off for the show.

She confessed: “I did it once, I have,” before laughing hysterically as a stunned Ben shouts, “No, you haven’t!”

But Denise soon explained that it was only one time and she didn’t do any scenes at the village pub, so why she didn’t know the name of it.

She also doesn’t watch the soap, despite starring in it, so she doesn’t really have a chance to guess the correct answer.

Ben asked: “Don’t tell me you’re in the pub too…”

Denise replied, “No, I don’t, no. We don’t do a pub scene so, I don’t really watch Hollyoaks but I was asked to go and do Hollyoaks, and I think I don’t believe this. “

Ben quipped: “It’s showbiz, that’s how it works!”

Tipping Point airs at 4 p.m. weekdays on ITV.
