Tipping Point viewers threatened to “shut down” the show on Tuesday in response to one contestant’s “frustrating” habits.
In Tuesday’s edition of the ITV daytime quiz, hosted by Ben Shephard, Diane was among those hoping to aim to win big and land the £10,000 jackpot.
Diane made it all the way to two finals alongside fellow contestant Ben, but eagle-eyed fans quickly realized she dropped her counter at unusual times, leaving much comment on her release time on the show.
On Twitter, one fan wrote: “If Diane gets to the final round with that crazy timing, I’ll shut down.”
Another said: “Lord Diane’s timing worries me,” as a third wrote: “Her timing will give me an aneurysm.”
One fan said in unison: “Diane made me scream into the phone!” as another viewer posted: “Her timing was horrible.”
Another ITV fan tweeted: “Diane is letting me down big!!”
Diane earned £1,300 while Ben earned £2,450, meaning she was eliminated in the penultimate round.
It comes after a hilarious viral video captured the moment a packed pub erupted into cheers when a contestant won big on Tipping Point.
People drinking in the Hatfield House Bar were engrossed in the ITV game show, in their seats when a player named John was about to win £10,000.
TikTok user Danny McElvanna captured some footage of the scene, as soon as John wins and the whole pub explodes – with cheers from every corner.
Presenter Ben Shephard had his stitches sewn up when he was shown the clip on Good Morning Britain, saying: “I got that info yesterday from Danny’s TikTok account and I’m not on TikTok and someone said, ‘Did Ben see this yet?
“I think it’s a pub called Hatfield in Belfast and all the students get together, I think they watch Tipping Point and then they watch The Chase and they have a big event.
“But then what better way to celebrate a jackpot than with a pint? I think we need to go there for a pint!”
In the clip, bettors in a pub in Belfast, Ireland, feel the tension as contestant John answers questions to earn a counter, which is then placed into a giant coin pusher.
In scenes similar to the celebrations in Hyde Park when England scored the World Cup goal, people could be seen dancing in the air, cheering, as drinks wrestled together in their glasses.
Danny’s video has been viewed more than 485,000 times and has over a thousand comments, mostly from people who were blown away by the footage.
