Tipping Point viewers have stoned one contestant for his ‘bad habit of causing pain’, which upset some.
During Monday’s edition of the ITV daytime quiz, hosted by Ben Shephard, John was among those hoping to aim for the big win and £10,000 jackpot, along with others play colleagues Rosie, Salvi and Kirsty.
However, eagle-eyed fans quickly realized that he repeatedly referred to the money machine as “baby” and “baby”, and were unimpressed.
In the first round, John failed to knock any counters, but made a stunning comeback to overtake Kirsty, and take the lead with £800.
But as he waited for the sale, he kept saying, “Come on, honey.”
“Come on, honey, come on, honey,” he said while it was his turn, and on the second he said to the machine: “Come on honey, come on, honey. Keep pushing, keep pushing. ”
His unusual name for the Tipping Point machine was criticized by viewers on Twitter, who said it sounded “scary” and put them off watching.
One person posted: “John please stop it,” another posted.
“Is it a prerequisite to talk to the counter, say things like “come on, baby! ”” Another asked sarcastically.
“PLEASE can someone stop John from calling the baby,” one annoyed viewer tweeted.
“The way John continues to say ‘come on guys’ is freaking creepy,” another added, as one disgruntled fan simply told him to “shut up!”
“It really freaks me out when men just say go on, they don’t realize how spoiled they sound,” another added, as one viewer called John “a tough contestant.” bear the most”.
It was a match between Rosie and John for a spot in the final, after Salvi was kicked off after winning just £250, and Kirsty followed shortly after.
Rosie eventually beat John and won the £10,000 jackpot.
