Titans player Hassan Haskins strangles girlfriend after she ‘likes’ another man’s photo: police

NASHVILLE, Tennessee – Tennessee Titans Backup running back Hassan Haskins has been charged with aggravated assault and strangulation after an argument with his girlfriend was sparked by her liking another man’s photo on Instagram.
Both Haskins and Makiah Green were arrested early Thursday morning and later released on bail from the Davidson County Jail on Thursday. Her appearance is scheduled for July 10 before Davidson County General Sessions Judge Ana Escobar.
Haskins was released on a $10,000 bond. Makiah Green was charged for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault and vandalism; bail is $2,500 per charge.
We are aware of the situation and are gathering additional information,” he said Titans said in a statement Friday night.
Haskins is entering his second season with Tennessee after finishing 131th overall in the fourth round in Michigan last year. He played in 15 games from one start and had 25 carries for 93 yards.

According to arrest warrants issued by Scoop: Nashville on social media, the couple began arguing on June 22 over Green liking an Instagram post. During the fight, the warrant states, Haskins allegedly “began to strangle her with both hands,” possibly “for 10 to 15 seconds” on a bed.
She got up and they hit each other. Green told police she fell onto her dog crate, where Haskins strangled her a second time before letting her go. The arrest warrant said she had photos showing a bruise on her right cheek, a scratch and a reddening of her neck.
The argument escalated at a restaurant days later, with each leaving individually.
Upon returning home, Green told police she threw a mug, which splintered before closing a bedroom door. She claims Haskins “punched and kicked” the door in half. She says she grabbed and broke Haskins’ necklace before they fought over her phone, which Haskins tossed and smashed.
The warrant states that Green picked up Haskins’ phone and saw photos of other women on one of his social media accounts. That prompted her to throw his phone away before punching him in the chest.
“MS. Green said she then went into the kitchen and grabbed a knife because she was going to slash his tires,” the warrant reads. “MS. Green explained that as she walked to the garage, she heard Mr. Haskins aim his gun and said, “I hope so.” She put the knife down.
The warrant states that Haskins agreed with Green’s account. He added that she hit him with a broom, jumped on him and tried to strangle him from behind. Haskins also accused of punching a hole in a wall by throwing his Playstation 5. Haskins also shared police footage of Green hitting him with a broom.
