TK Maxx and Homesense are conducting a major recall of women’s boots sold in Irish stores

TWO major Irish retailers have recalled two pairs of women’s boots from sale.

TK Maxx and Homesense issued the recall today over concerns that exposed nails in the boots could cause injury.

Two Dune Head and Heels model boots from the Dune brand have been recalled.

The affected products are knee-high and ankle-high boots with black heels, marked “Dune” and “Head & Heels” on the sole and insert respectively.

One of the following product codes will appear on the price label and receipt of the affected boots: 328003, 328047, 328050, 328070, 328100, 817084.

The CCPC warned that there could be a risk of injury when wearing the boots.

It states: “The risk associated with the product is the risk of injury.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, some products may contain an exposed nail that may cause injury when worn.”

Customers who have purchased the boots should immediately stop using them and return the pair to a TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.

Meanwhile, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has also issued an urgent recall for an L(A)B Cryo Belt sold at TK Maxx and HomeSense.

There are believed to be approximately 500 affected products in the Republic of Ireland and the UK and buyers are being urged to review their purchases.

The affected product was available from October 2022 to November 2022.

The affected lot numbers are 734796, 734856 and 734826.

The product’s plug does not meet the required safety standards, which may result in a serious risk of electric shock.

Customers who purchased the product should discontinue use immediately and return it to a TK Maxx or HomeSense store for a full refund.
