Toast to the creation of 100 jobs at the new Dublin office

Restaurant management platform Toast plans to create 100 jobs this year when it opens its new office on Dublin’s St Stephen’s Green.

Headquartered in Boston, the company provides software and financial technology solutions to help them run their sales, marketing, loyalty, delivery and management businesses.

Founded in 2012, the company currently employs over 3,000 people in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and India.

In 2017, the company opened a technology and product development center in Dublin for the first time.

The new Irish positions will be created in a number of roles including software development, sales and customer support.

“Toast originally chose to invest in Ireland primarily because of the concentration of high-level engineering capabilities there,” said Robert McGarry, senior vice president of engineering, who also oversees the company’s operations in Ireland.

“Over the last few years we’ve reaped so many other benefits from our strategic investment here – easy collaboration with other Toast teams, Irish hospitality and more.

Welcoming the announcement, Deputy Employment Secretary Damien English said: “It shows that Ireland remains a prime location for foreign direct investment thanks to the large pool of highly skilled labor we have and are able to attract.

“The concept of a one stop shop for restaurants to manage all their digital needs is a great innovation and I’m sure it will be embraced by many companies in the industry.”
