Tom Grennan has postponed his Washington show while he recovers from an “unprovoked attack” that left him with a broken ear and ruptured eardrum, it has been announced.
The British singer, 26, was reportedly mugged and robbed outside a Manhattan bar after his performance in New York on Wednesday.
In a statement, his manager John Dawkins said: “In the early hours after Tom’s show in New York, he was the victim of an unprovoked assault and robbery outside a Manhattan bar.
“Tom is currently being evaluated by doctors for his injuries, which include a broken ear, ruptured eardrum and issues with his previously fractured jaw.
“Nevertheless, Tom is in good spirits but is having to make a temporary recovery while doctors assess his ability to continue touring.”
The Little Bit Of Love singer is “desperate not to let anyone down” but his management team has made the “precautionary decision” to reschedule his Washington show to a later date, it has been announced.
“We want to thank Tom’s incredible US fans for their support and understanding.
“We will update on future shows should changes need to be made,” the statement added.
