Fans of Tom Hanks are worried for the actor’s health after he couldn’t control his shaking right hand while on stage earlier this month.
Actor Forrest Gump, 65, is promoting Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis, in which he acts as the singer’s manager.
The film’s premiere was held in Sydney, Australia, where the film was filmed.
Standing on stage in front of the audience, Tom began: “There’s no better place in the world to make a motion picture than right here on the Gold Coast.”
“I filmed in Morocco and Los Angeles, New York City and Seattle and in Berlin,” he continued, while holding the microphone in his right hand.
“None of them have what the Gold Coast has, and what is it? Two words. None of the other cities have Dan Murphy.
“What a man, who I got to know quite well.”
At this point Tom’s hand was clearly shaking and he was trying to get it to stop.
He places his left hand below the microphone, before attempting to switch hands completely.
The award-winning Hollywood star concluded: “We had an absolutely amazing time with all of you.
“There’s something about the people and landmarks of the Gold Coast that makes people walk around with a confident face. We’re part of that.
“Your confidence, joy and passion for life appear in our moving picture.
“You have a wonderful proactive golden son in Baz Luhrmann who loves Australia more than kangaroos, more than Dan Murphy.”
Fans began to speculate about Tom’s health on social media after the video clip was spread.

On Twitter, one person wrote: “God forbid it could be just adrenaline and nerves!”
A second concerned fan added: “I love Tom Hanks. Recently saw him on screen and thought he looked so skinny. Hope he’s okay.”
“He seems to age suddenly – weight loss,” a third commented.
The fourth suggested: “Unfortunately, his declining health could lead to Parkinson’s disease.”
And a fifth wrote: “He has diabetes. This happened to my mother when she had low blood sugar.”
In 2020, Tom revealed he had a “broken bone” battle with Covid.
The Hollywood star and his wife Rita Wilson recovered from the deadly bug after they were attacked by it in March of that year.
The Mirror has contacted Tom’s representatives for comment.
