Tom Hardy took a leap of faith with Christopher Nolan’s ‘complicated’ starter script

If you’ve seen “Inception,” you’ll know it’s a not-so-great movie after just one viewing. How is it possible? The film takes place on several levels of consciousness as Leonardo DiCaprio and his associates try to absorb an idea in the deepest human dreams. It’s complicated stuff and Hardy admitted it in an interview with Steve Weintraub by Collider:

“When you work with someone you admire, you don’t want to question them. Seeing as he created it and it was his brainchild, it was all his idea. He wrote the script and we’ve all seen what he did with THE DARK KNIGHT and BATMAN BEGINS and MEMENTO. This is the man with the pudding proof. He’s not someone you need to guess. the second time. I was a very small person at the wheel. When the script came out, the overwhelming complexity was invented by someone who clearly did a lot [more] of this than I have. It can’t [my] where to say, “Chris, I want to change your script” or “It’s possible if we edit this line or change this line” or “The third action doesn’t really work.
