Tom Kerridge brings Michelin chefs to Brighton for the festival

CELEBRITY chef Tom Kerridge is coming to Brighton, bringing a whole host of famous faces with him.

The Michelin-starred chef will be in town as part of his food and music festival, which combines quality dishes with musical performances such as Melanie C and The Human League.

Kerridge will co-host the Pub in The Park event with Marco Pierre White and Simon Rimmer from Sunday brunch.

Kerridge said: “It has a great feel to it with the idea of ​​eating and being involved in festivals. It is Michelin star chefs who offer street food.

“It’s a festival but more family friendly, we’re super excited and it’s been an incredible journey.

“We try to create a great atmosphere of flavors and excitement. It’s about technique and fun.”

Coming to Brighton for the first time as part of a national tour, the family-friendly festival is based around cooking demonstrations and a range of music.

Cooking demonstrations range from traditional cooking to open fire pits, and guests also have the opportunity to chat with chefs in VIP Q&A sessions.

Festival-goers can expect a wide variety of foods, ranging from bao buns and tacos to Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochar’s Indian dishes.

Speaking of working with other chefs like Pierre White and Rimmer, Kerridge said they’re “friends but they’re also brilliant colleagues, they have a great, great energy”.

The festival will also feature a number of headlining musical acts such as Basement Jaxx and The Human League throughout the weekend.

Fresh off her Glastonbury DJ set, the former Spice Girl will also bring energy to the big stage as she headlines the festival’s Saturday night slot.

Kerridge stressed that the event will specifically aim to include Sussex-based chefs as part of the event, to give the event a “national feel but also a local feel”.

He added, “We’re really trying to root ourselves in the community.”
