SU2C: Tom Parker talks about receiving a brain tumor diagnosis

Tom Parker admitted he was scared to death when he learned he was diagnosed with cancer.

The Wanted singer tragically passed away today aged 33 and in a heartbreaking appearance on Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer, Tom explained how lonely he is. when I found out I had an inoperable brain tumor.

In a poignant and heartbreaking conversation, Tom explains his wife Kelsey is unable to be with him because of Covid restrictions, as he admits he believes the doctor made a mistake.

He remembers telling the doctor who was treating him, “No, you’re wrong”.

Tom bravely admits that he is afraid of death

“It was an emotional moment to say the least,” he recalls during a conversation with Davina McCall on Stand Up To Cancer, “I had to be hospitalized on my own because of Covid restrictions. So, There was really no one else there with me – I was alone.

“The doctors wrapped a curtain around my bed and told me I had a brain tumor, and I said, ‘No, you’re wrong. Must be. I’m only 32. I really think they got it. sick. make a mistake.”

Tom explains that cancer can “destroy” him if he’s not careful – as he vowed to fight for his children.

“Cancer can destroy you very quickly and very easily. There was a time when I started this journey I couldn’t get out of bed. I was destroyed by cancer. It wasn’t the physical aspect, that’s the spiritual side of things,” he said.

“I kept thinking ‘I’m going to die, so what’s the point of getting out of bed?'”

He broke down explaining what happened when he was told he had cancer

His wife Kelsey confirmed Tom passed away earlier today, surrounded by family and friends.

“It is with heavy hearts that we confirm that Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom is the center of our world, we are the center of our world. I cannot imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” she wrote.

“We truly thank you for the overwhelming love and support, and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine on his beautiful children. Thank you. everyone has supported him all this time.

She ended her post on Instagram with a message to Tom: “I am forever proud of you”.
