Tom Parker is said to have decided to perform an Oasis song when he died surrounded by his loved ones earlier this morning.
Tonight it was announced that the musician, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain tumor in 2020, sadly passed away at the age of 33.
The tragic news was shared by his wife Kelsey Parker, 32 – the mother of his two young children – after his widow posted an emotional tribute on social media.
Accordingly The sunHe is said to have been surrounded by his family, friends and bandmates from The Wanted in his final moments, with the group “devastated” by his loss.
It has now been reported that he chose to play the Oasis song Live Forever as he died surrounded by his loved ones, according to tonight’s publication.
The outlet states that the father-of-two played the 1994 track out loud in his final moments, with a source commenting on the importance of the song choices.
The source commented, “You might have thought Tom would choose something from The Wanted, but Oasis’ Live Forever sums him up perfectly – he was a rock star.”
They said that “that’s how he wants to be remembered,” adding that the track is a “real anthem of strength and defiance,” with some of the lyrics speaking of his experience.
The source further commented, “As the track says, Tom will truly live in his children, his fans and his music forever.”

Tom has been a member of The Wanted since its inception in 2009 alongside Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes. They recently reunited for a tour.

The late singer married his wife Kelsey in 2018 and the couple had given birth to daughter Aurelia, two, in 2019 and son Bodhi, one, in 2020 – the year he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
It is understood he was originally told he had grade four glioblastoma with a life expectancy of up to 18 months.
Kelsey previously paid tribute to Tom, describing him as the “center” of the family world, and she added, “We can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.”
His bandmates released a joint statement calling him an “amazing husband and father” and saying that “words cannot express the loss and sadness.”
