Tom Parker says it’s “not about dying, it’s about living” as he writes a book about battling cancer

The Wanted’s Tom Parker has written a book about “living the best life no matter what.”

The Wanted star Tom Parker has announced that he is writing a book about his battle with brain cancer.
The 33-year-old singer revealed he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2020.
And now he’s revealed he’s written a book – but he says it’s “not about dying: it’s a book about living”.
Taking to Instagram, fans shared a cute video of an animated book turning pages and received snaps of Tom in his early pop star days and with his young family.
He said: “Hi, I’m Tom Parker, many of you know me as a fifth from The Wanted but I’m also a father, husband and son battling brain cancer.

“My book, coming out this July, isn’t about dying: it’s a book about living. It’s a book about finding hope in whatever situation you find yourself in and living your best life no matter what.
“It will show you how, against all odds, you can keep going if you believe in hope and dare to dream. Pre-order your copy now.”
Fans are excited about the book announcement and Tom’s celebrity friends rushed to share their joy.
Tom’s bandmate Jay McGuinness commented, “This is going to be EPIC. If you sign books, I am available as security.”
Arlene Phillips wrote, “Tom this is so wonderful.”
Tom’s wife Kelsey joked, “I can’t wait to read the chapter about me.”

He recently traveled to Spain to undergo revolutionary treatment at a specialist clinic before touring with his band.
The Glad You Came singer has been part of the full UK tour alongside his four band mates as he takes to the stage each night to sit on a throne on stage amid his battle with brain cancer.
The popular singer has been a member of The Wanted since its inception in 2009, along with bandmates Max, Siva Kaneswaran, 33, Jay McGuiness, 31, and Nathan Sykes, 28.
Tom – who shares two children with his wife Kelsey Hardwick, 32 – was originally said to have had grade four glioblastoma with a life expectancy of up to 18 months.
But his condition is said to have improved after chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Tom is hoping his recent treatment abroad will further improve his condition.
