TOM Parker asked fans to pray for him as they lit a candle on the night of the new moon to help him battle cancer.
The Wanted singer posted an emotional photo with his wife Kelsey and urged fans to “light a candle and say a prayer for me”.
Tom, 33 years old, who was diagnosed with a terminal illness last year – has received aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
He stared at his wife, who was sitting on his lap and wearing sunglasses, in an emotional Instagram post.
“Calling to all my amazing followers ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨,” he began on the Instagram post.
“I’d love for all of you to come in tonight and light the candles and pray for me.
“It’s a new moon and supreme number 02.02.22 ✨ it’s a powerful day to show to the universe.”
He added: “So let’s all heal together. At 6pm I’d love for everyone to light candles and say this out loud.
“I let go of that which no longer serves me for the best and in divine order.
Thank the universe for all that I have, all that I am and all that I will forever be!
“May Tom Parker be mentally and physically strong and fully recovered from his illness.
May his body return to its best health and be completely debilitated.
“I call on the angels, guides and ancestors to help to support Tom in his healing journey and please awaken Tom’s heart and mind to give him strength, strength and healing that he needs on this journey to be completely healthy. 🙏🏽”
The rest of the prayer reads: “May his family be adorned with the love and strength they need to be able to support Tom.
“I support Tom Parker with love and light! And surround him with joy and positivity.
“Thank you 🙏🏽 And that’s it…. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌟🌟❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟❤️🌟❤️❤️❤️” was written by @seaspiritandstones. “
The star was told he has grade 4 glioblastoma and that the plan will only extend his life, with a life expectancy of 12 to 18 months.
Amazingly, after six rounds of chemotherapy and 30 rounds of radiation, Tom was able to reveal that his outlook is significantly more positive.
Things have improved so far for the singer as he was able to stand on stage with his bandmates The Wanted on the serious show The Real Full Monty last month.
The Bolton – who has a daughter Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, 11 months, with Kelsey – said in the TV documentary Inside My Head in October: “You will always be treated as equipment. From the beginning to the end.
“They give you a survival time of 12 to 18 months. But that’s the general statistic. Everyone we spoke to was far, far beyond that.
“Now, we’re aiming to be cancer-free by March. That’s the goal. This disease is always there.
“You can have leftover cells that are dormant. So we’ll move on, just keep going and see where we go.”
For six weeks, the star had to travel daily from his family home in Kent to Guy’s Hospital in London due to fatigue radiation session – get any respite on weekends only.
At one point, his weight dropped by a third, to just 7 lb.
