The BBC has revealed that it has put out an episode of the quiz show Pointless featuring Tom Parker in memory of the singer who tragically died from brain cancer at the age of 33 today. Wednesday.

Tom, who is famous for 1/5 on The Wanted, filmed the celebrity version with bandmate Max George, 33, late last year.

The special – in which the pair appear in support of the UK Brain Cancer and Research Charity – will now air on BBC One on Saturday in memory of the much-loved musician. cherish.

The BBC confirmed the news in a statement, in which the broadcaster said the decision to air the episode was made with the support of Tom’s family.

The statement read: “In memory of Tom Parker, who sadly passed away this week, his episode of Pointless Celebrities, filmed late last year, has been released with Tom’s family’s support and blessings.”

Tom sadly passed away on Wednesday (March 30) surrounded by family and friends, with the tragic news shared on social media by his wife Kelsey Parker, 32.

The couple have been married since 2018 and have since welcomed daughter Aurelia, now two, and son Bodhi, now one, into the world as they expand their family.

Announcing the news of her husband’s death, Kelsey said: “With the heaviest hearts, we can confirm that Tom passed away peacefully today with all of his family at his side.”

Kelsey said in her memory, the family is heartbroken over the passing of Tom – who was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade 4 in 2020.

She wrote: “Our hearts are broken, Tom is the center of our world and we cannot imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. it.”

The mother-of-two expressed gratitude for the “overwhelming love and support” the family has received, adding that she will be “forever proud” of her late husband.

She added: “Tom is the center of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

“Thank you to everyone who supported taking care of him throughout, he fought until the very end. I am forever proud of you.”

Pointless Celebrity – starring Tom Parker – will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.50pm on Saturday.
