Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey Hardwick has asked followers to “light a candle” and “pray” for the “The Wanted” singer as he continues to battle brain cancer.

The 33-year-old pop star announced today that he will miss the start of his band’s tour as he finishes his cancer treatment in Spain.

Sharing a photo of her and Tom, Kelsey wrote a plea to followers: “Dear friends, family and our amazing followers.

“Where your intentions go, energy flows! Thank you for all the love, support and positive manifestations you have put into the universe for Tom.

“Tom has made tremendous progress both physically and mentally. He lit a spark within himself seeing all the incredible love and support you have shown us.”

The mother of two continued, “I would love for everyone to light a candle and say this mantra out loud. We ask the universe to answer our prayers…if there is faith, love and hope – anything is possible.

Showing her spiritual side, Kelsey said: “I am calling on angels, guides and ancestors to support Tom on his healing journey and please continue to awaken Tom’s heart and mind to give him the power, strength and healing that he is on this journey.” Travel needs perfect health.”

His treatment was only supposed to last 20 days but has defected, preventing him from touring with the rest of the band

She said: “Tom, you are a beacon, a true hero – we are so proud of you. Go on. The world needs you.”

Tom, who had hoped to be healthy enough to tour with The Wanted, is currently in a private hospital.

On Wednesday, Tom shared a photo of the band with an update on his health for fans.

“As most of you know I have been on a treatment program in Spain for the past few weeks.

“It was only supposed to take 20 days but due to some logistical changes with testing and results it won’t be ready before the end of the week which has delayed our journey home.

“I’m obviously disappointed to be missing the first few shows but as I’m sure you’ll understand I need to complete my treatment cycle.

“I’ve zoomed into rehearsals all week and I know the show is going to be amazing and my boys will hold the line until I get back. Can’t wait to see you all soon, I hope you all enjoy the show.”

Tom was initially diagnosed with grade four glioblastoma and was given a life expectancy of 12 to 18 months.

The father-of-two had six rounds of chemotherapy and 30 radiation therapy sessions followed by treatment worth £4,000 a week in Spain.
