Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey recalls the heartbreaking moment she told their children he was dead

Kelsey Parker says telling daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi about their father’s tragic death from a brain tumor at the age of 33 is one of the hardest things she will ever have to do.

Tom Parker’s wife, Kelsey, recalled the heartbreaking moment when she had to tell the couple’s children that their father had passed away.

The Wanted star passed away from a brain tumor last month after an 18-month battle, aged 33.

Kelsey, 32, speaking for the first time since her husband’s death of three years, said it was one of the hardest things she would have to do as she explained to Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, 18 months, What happened.

She told Sun on Sunday : “Aurelia was really confused when Tom entered the hospice.

“On Wednesday, when I knew I was going to see Tom, I told her, ‘I want to make sure you’re okay and that the angels are coming to pick me up’.

“We were really honest with the kids because you have to, but having to tell her her dad passed away, it was really tough.

“I couldn’t talk, like I had something stuck in my throat, I couldn’t say it, but I knew I had to say the words to her because she had to know.

“She just said, ‘OK Mom,’ but I need to be frank with her.”

Widow Kelsey went on to explain that despite the terrible circumstances, some of the couple’s most precious moments came in the days leading up to Tom’s death when she visited him at St. Christopher near their home in South London.

“We were in bed together for two hours, I just wanted that time with him,” she said.

“I didn’t want anyone to come in. We needed time together to talk. Even then it was romantic. Yes, we were in the hospice, but what kind of person Tom is. – it never mattered where we were. He was always there so romantic, loving and caring, and absolutely adored the ground I walked on.

“That night, I could see inside him that he was still trying to figure out a way out of this. He had been in the hospice for just over a week.”

Kelsey said she told him she and their children would be fine, promising to teach Aurelia and Bodhi ‘everything he wanted them to know’.

“He said, ‘I know you’ll be fine. Then he took off his wedding ring and put it on my finger,'” she added.

“I think he knows then it’s the end, but he still has the Tom fight inside of him. He doesn’t want to go. You’ve always wanted that miracle and I’m wishing for that miracle. Of course you want that. that.”

Tom’s treatment includes 30 rounds of chemotherapy and 30 rounds of radiation because the male singer tried in every way to beat the disease.

He then spent three weeks in Spain receiving specialist treatment, before returning to the UK to bravely join his band mates on stage on their reunion tour. them in March.
