Albion’s best-ever squad has been backed to enjoy the new challenge of playing for Roberto De Zerbi.
The Italy manager has taken charge of a side that is high up in the Premier League.
It has similar principles to its predecessor, Graham Potter, but some differences in terms of tactics and structure.
His teams tend to score more and concede more than Albion has in recent years under Potter.
Although the players may start from a different form, tactically they need to be just as flexible as they were under the current Chelsea boss.
Tony Bloom, pictured, rates the current group of players as Albion’s best ever and expects them to enjoy the changes to come.
Speaking to the club’s media team, the chairman said: “The players are constantly improving. They work really well together.
“There is an incredible spirit at camp and they are always willing to learn and improve. I’m very hopeful with Roberto, a new coach, new ideas, many similarities but there will be differences.
“New opportunities for them to develop, so I think it’s a really exciting time for Roberto, for our players and also for the club.”
A variety of Albion players are currently on international duty.
They include defender Levi Colwill, on loan from Chelsea, who started the England U21s’ 2-0 win in Italy and headed just wide.
